Experience
After spending nearly a decade as a reporter for a major metropolitan newspaper, Robert Annis finally broke free of the shackles of gainful employment to become an award-winning outdoor-travel journalist. He's an avid biker, RVer and griller, and a competent DIYer who's tacked projects including a folding garage workbench and an RV revamp.
Over the years, Robert's byline has appeared in numerous publications and websites including Bicycling, Men's Journal, Popular Mechanics, National Geographic, Outside, Inside Hook, Hemispheres, Departures, Midwest Living, Lonely Planet, Afar, Sierra, Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, RV Magazine, Family Handyman and Hidden Compass. Although he's a member of the Outdoor Writers Association of America (OWAA), Society of American Travel Writers (SATW, and the Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA), please don’t hold that against those prestigious organizations.
If you’re looking for Robert, chances are you'll find him either pedaling the backroads and trails of the Midwest on his bicycle; hunched over his laptop in his camper van, frantically trying to make his next deadline; or completing maintenace projects around his Indiana home.
